It is an excellent entry-level SLR camera, and very easy to operate and get good picture quality out of. I completely recommend it!
For anyone interested, I take my photos in RAW format, and edit them in Photoshop- generally just the brightness/contrast/vibrancy, and perhaps brightening up a few areas should my kludged together lighting be not working optimally.
(Older photos Pre- Oct 25th 2011 were shot on a Canon Powershot Camera- I know, I'm loyal to brand when it comes to my cameras! I even have a Canon Rebel Film Camera! (Which I never use, because who has the money to develop film anymore?)
